Gary Coleman is DEAD!!!

Well, thats the rumor.

Reports are surfacing that the midgey actor is currently in “critical” condition in a Utah hospital. No other details have surfaced.

Its sad that he never had a comeback… but then again, how many angry black “elf” roles are there…

Rated R: Remixes = FAIL.

Worst. $10. EVER. Spent.

The other day I was at Wal-Mart (dont judge me), and I saw that Rihanna has put out a remixed version of her latest CD, Rated R. I was drawn in by the cover art (which is just a badly-picnicked version of the original album art), and then noticed that each mix was done by one of my FAVORITE DJ groups, Chew Fu.

Chew Fu are the geniuses behind this AMAZING remix of Lady Gaga’s “Love Game” that you can listen too HERE!!!

So I purchased the CD…  listened to it… then took it out of my computer and THREW IT AGAINST THE WALL!!! Ugh.

I was expecting this cd to be a crazy, uptempto, balls-to-the-wall mess that could jumpstart any party. Instead, this is the equivalent of techno-elevator music. Total. Snoozefest.

Lauryn Hill is BACK!!!

Boys, you know you’d better WATCH OUT!!!

The iconic, incomparable, and divalicious Lauryn Hill is throwing her hat back into the ring after being MIA for more than a decade!!!

Hill is scheduled to headline the annual “Rock The Bells” tour this summer, and the Hip Hop community is more than excited. This will be the Diva’s first high profile concert since she reunited with The Fugees in 2006 for “Dave Chapelle’s Block Party”. Her last live performance was last year in New Zealand.

This is where I get skeptical: the 2006 reunion of The Fugees had a lot of people thinking that Hill was ready for a comeback, yet nothing materialized. So there is a chance that we will once again be let down. Also, there is no confirmation as to whether or not Hill will be releasing new music.

Her absence from the music scene has killed me, because I know that we have missed out on SO MANY great songs from her. Its a shame that she has let her talent go to waste like this… but who knows, maybe she can make up for lost time.

Suggestion: Lauryn Hill should hook up with Mark Ronson (producer of Amy Winehouse’s smash hit album “Back to Black”), and wonder producers “The Neptunes”. They would definitely bring her into the 21st century.

Summertime is right around the corner, and the reality TV mavens at Bravo are more than ready. They just released a brand new super-commercial featuring ALL of the stars of their summer-shows (including Zoila from “Flipping Out”).

Its cute. Its funny. I love it.

Tall, Grande, Venti, …and Trenta?

Soak it in people. Starbucks is going BIGG.

In an effort to compete in the growing “cheap” coffee movement, Starbucks is going to launch the new 31oz “Trenta” cup.

Now that McDonalds, QuickCheck, 7/11, and Dunkin Donuts all offer 32oz cup sizes for their coffee and tea drinks, Starbucks is feeling the heat and has decided to step up the the “extra large” plate. The “Trenta” sized cup is currently being tested in Tampa and Phoenix, and is expected to launch nationwide sometime this summer.

I love the idea. I used to work for Starbucks, and I always had a problem with the fact that my iced drinks would seem to disappear too quickly. Even the iced Venti cups (which are 24oz) are too dayamn small.

I am so excited about the Trenta!!! Are you???

Disney does MAC!!!

SO CLEVER!!!

Disney has just announced that they will be the latest in a long line of corporations to collaborate with MAC cosmetics. They are following in the footsteps the AMAZING collaboration between MAC and Hello Kitty.

I love these MAC collaborations, because they always outdo themselves and bring you a product that is way better than you expected.

The Disney collection will be entitled “Venomous Villians” and is inspired by classic Disney villains, such as Cruella Deville and the evil Queen from “Snow White”.
